For LOEWE’s capsule collection, launched in November 2022, DACS worked with the luxury fashion brand to license artworks by influential British potter Bernard Leach.
This collaboration came to life due to LOEWE’s Creative Director, Jonathan Anderson’s passion for the work of Leach who played a pioneering role in creating an identity for artist potters across the world. Regarded as the ’father of British studio pottery’, Bernard Leach’s work was influenced by his upbringing and life in Japan and China, and the pottery studio he established at St. Ives was one of the most unique and influential creative spaces at the time.

DACS licensed works by Bernard Leach for LOEWE, working towards achieving Jonathan Anderson's creative vision in using Leach's work in various types of garments.
We were excited to be able to facilitate this fantastic art and fashion collaboration between luxury brand, LOEWE and the Estate of Bernard Leach, who manage the archive of the influential potter.
