In a significant stride towards environmental sustainability, the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC) launched its latest initiative, shaped with the involvement of a number of DACS members – the GCC Artist Toolkit.

This innovative toolkit empowers artists at all levels of their careers to take meaningful action against climate change.

The transformation needs to be across the board – we need to change our sense of what a good life is.

It is a comprehensive guide that equips artists with practical ideas, actions, and resources to integrate environmental responsibility into their creative process. From advocacy to exhibition-making, the toolkit outlines ten key areas where artists can make a difference, including a unique Environmental Responsibility Rider to set new standards in project collaborations.

I can’t claim to be an environmental activist, I’m more like 10% activist. But I think there are lots of us who are 10% activists, and if you put a lot of ten percents together, it begins to add up.

The toolkit aligns with DACS’ ongoing efforts to support sustainable practices in the art community, echoing our commitment when joining the GCC.
